Tree distribution:
The coastal islands of Bangladesh are constantly at extreme risk due to climate change. Natural disasters such as cyclones, tidal surges, and saltwater intrusion are endangering the lives and ecosystems of these areas. In addressing this crisis, large-scale afforestation on the islands is not just a matter of beauty, but a struggle for survival. Coastal reforestation prevents soil erosion and creates a natural barrier against powerful wind currents. Specifically, by distributing mangrove, fruit-bearing, and timber saplings, it is possible to keep the island environment cool and protect biodiversity. Initiating the distribution of saplings at the right time and place will encourage local residents, playing a vital role in long-term carbon emission reduction and maintaining climatic balance. Therefore, delivering saplings to every home and open space is the best investment of our time to build green and safe islands.
With this vision, the Siddique Nahar Welfare Foundation will continue to work towards the development of the islands by involving everyone.
